Two important Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed on Monday in the presence of Chief Minister and Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad President Dr. Mohan Yadav at a brief ceremony held at Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence. The MoUs focus on strengthening village development through Anand Grams and river conservation, particularly of the Narmada.

MoU for Anand Gram and Sustainable Development
The first tripartite MoU was signed between the Rajya Anand Sansthan (Bhopal), Deendayal Shodh Sansthan (Chitrakoot) and MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad (Bhopal). Its aim is to facilitate mutual training, conceptual implementation, and development of Anand Grams across Madhya Pradesh, grounded in sustainable development goals. The three institutions will combine their expertise to enhance rural happiness and holistic village development.
MoU for River Conservation with Narmada Samagra
The second bilateral MoU was signed between MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad and Narmada Samagra (Bhopal). The partnership focuses on river conservation awareness, promoting citizen participation in preserving the Narmada river and its tributaries. Joint efforts will be made to address mindset change, promote ecological restoration, and undertake strategic initiatives for an uninterrupted and clean river system.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated all the stakeholders and highlighted the state’s commitment to collaborative governance. “Together, we will contribute to the holistic development of Madhya Pradesh,” he said.

Strategic Objectives Behind the MoUs
The first MoU aims to pool institutional strengths to foster community-led rural transformation through voluntary participation, collective ownership, and innovation in Anand Gram models. The second MoU is focused on preparing and executing a comprehensive conservation plan for the Maa Narmada river, aiming to restore its purity, flow, and ecosystem with the help of stakeholders.
The MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad continues to play a key role in connecting public initiatives with government schemes to ensure sustainable development and environmental responsibility across the state.
