Bhopal/ Mussoorie: The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie has summoned 122 IAS officers from Madhya Pradesh, including 39 district collectors and one divisional commissioner, for the 24th Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) scheduled from January 5 to January 30, 2026.

The Academy has formally written to the Chief Secretary, asking the state to ensure timely online registration and relieve all shortlisted officers for the program.

Election Commission Norms May Prevent 39 Collectors From Attending

Despite being selected, 39 collectors may not be permitted to attend, due to the Madhya Pradesh government’s priority in adhering to the Election Commission of India’s service rules during the ongoing administrative cycle.

Because of this, the state government may withhold permission for mid-career training, especially for field officers engaged in election-related work.

High-Level Representation: Collectors, Deputy Secretaries & Secretaries Included

This year’s selection includes –

  • Collectors from major districts such as Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa
  • The Ujjain Divisional Commissioner
  • Several IAS officers posted as Deputy Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, and Secretaries across ministries.

This makes it one of the largest batches from Madhya Pradesh to undergo MCTP simultaneously.

Last Opportunity for 2016 Batch Officers

According to the letter sent to the Chief Secretary, this session of MCTP is particularly significant –

  • 2010 batch officers are selected on a case-by-case basis
  • 2016 batch officers: third and final chance
  • 2017 batch: second opportunity
  • 2018 batch: first opportunity

Officers retiring on or after December 31, 2029, are eligible for this phase of training.

List of Selected Collectors

Prominent collectors called for the training include –

  • Bhopal Collector: Kaushalendra Vikram Singh
  • Gwalior Collector: Ruchika Chauhan
  • Dhar Collector: Priyank Mishra
  • Khargone Collector: Bhavya Mittal
  • Barwani Collector: Jayati Singh
  • Jhabua Collector: Neha Meena
  • Alirajpur Collector: Neetu Mathur
  • Khandwa Collector: Rishav Gupta
  • Burhanpur Collector: Harsh Singh
  • Ujjain Collector: Roshan Kumar Singh

And many others from Dewas, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Datia, Morena, Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Sagar, Damoh, Chhindwara, and more.

A full list covers officers from batches 2011 through 2018.

Deadline and Process: Registration by December 12

LBSNAA has instructed that –

  • Online registration must be completed by December 12
  • Final approval and nomination letters must be submitted by December 19
  • All officers must report to LBSNAA on January 4

Key Officers from 2010 and 2011 Batch Also Selected

Two senior officers of the 2010 batch, including Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh and Ujjain Commissioner Ashish Singh, have also been selected.

Several officers from the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 batches have been listed as well, forming one of the most comprehensive selections from MP in recent years.
