Madhya Pradesh MSME and Startup Policies 2025 Drive Strong Growth in Women Entrepreneurship

State offers up to 48% subsidy and startup support to boost women-led enterprises, with 48% of startups now run by women entrepreneurs

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has significantly strengthened women entrepreneurship through its MSME Development Policy 2025 and Startup Policy 2025, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “Vocal for Local” and women-led development.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the state has focused on making women self-reliant by expanding financial incentives and startup opportunities.

Rising Share of Women-Led Enterprises in Madhya Pradesh

The state has witnessed strong growth in women-led businesses across MSME and startup sectors.

Key highlights include:

  • 24.34 lakh MSME units in the state
  • 4.11 lakh units (17%) operated by women entrepreneurs
  • 7,264 recognized startups in total
  • 3,476 startups (48%) run by women

These figures reflect the increasing participation of women in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and startup ecosystem.

MSME Policy 2025 Offers Higher Capital Subsidy for Women

The MSME Development Policy 2025 provides special incentives to women entrepreneurs investing in plant and machinery.

Key provisions include:

  • Up to 48% capital subsidy for investments up to ₹10 crore
  • 50% subsidy for SC/ST women entrepreneurs
  • 40% subsidy for general category women entrepreneurs

The policy aims to accelerate women-led industrial growth and strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship across the state.

Startup Policy 2025 Encourages Women-Led Innovation

The Startup Policy and Implementation Plan 2025 also includes dedicated support for women entrepreneurs.

Key benefits include:

  • 18% financial assistance for women-led startups
  • Up to ₹18 lakh per tranche
  • Maximum assistance of ₹72 lakh per startup
  • 15% or ₹15 lakh support for other startups

This structured financial support is designed to encourage innovation and scale women-led enterprises.

Strong Alignment with ‘Vocal for Local’ Vision

Officials said these initiatives reflect the state’s commitment to the “Vocal for Local” mission and the broader goal of self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat).

The policies are helping women entrepreneurs access funding, build businesses, and participate more actively in economic growth.

With strong policy support under MSME and Startup frameworks, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a leading state in women entrepreneurship. The rising share of women-led enterprises highlights the success of targeted incentives and inclusive development strategies aimed at building a self-reliant and innovation-driven economy.
