In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government has transferred 10 IAS officers, marking the first major move since the formation of the new state government. Key appointments include changes in the BEST General Manager position, collectors of Gadchiroli and Wardha, and other pivotal roles.
- Mr. Anil Diggikar, a 1990-batch IAS officer and General Manager of BEST, Mumbai, has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary in the Ministry of Persons with Disabilities Welfare Department.
- Dr. Harshdeep Kamble, a 1997-batch IAS officer and Principal Secretary of the Industry, Energy, and Labour Department, has been named the new General Manager of BEST, succeeding Mr. Diggikar.
- Dr. Anbalagan P., a 2001-batch IAS officer and Chairman and Managing Director of MAHAGENCO, has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Labour.
- Dr. Radhakrishnan B., a 2008-batch IAS officer and Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister, will now serve as the Chairman and Managing Director of MAHAGENCO.
- Mr. Sanjay Dane, a 2012-batch IAS officer and Collector of Gadchiroli, has been posted as Textile Commissioner in Nagpur.
- Mr. Rahul Karidle, a 2015-batch IAS officer and Collector of Wardha, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Nashik Municipal Corporation.
- Ms. Vanamthi C., a 2015-batch IAS officer and Joint Commissioner of State Tax, will now serve as the Collector of Wardha.
- Mr. Sanjay Pawar, a 2015-batch IAS officer from Chandrapur, has been posted as Joint Commissioner, State Tax, Mumbai.
- Mr. Avishyant Panda, a 2017-batch IAS officer and Textile Commissioner in Nagpur, has been made the Collector of Gadchiroli.
- Mr. Vivek Johnson, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Chandrapur Zila Parishad.
Additionally, Mr. Annasaheb Dadu Chavan, a CSC-promoted officer, has been appointed as CEO of the Mahatma Phule Jeevandayi Arogya Yojana Society, while Mr. Gopichand Murlidhar Kadam, also promoted to SCS, has been named CEO of Solapur Smart City.
This reshuffle is expected to bring a fresh approach to governance in the state.
