In a major bureaucratic shake-up mandated by the government of Maharashtra, as many as 12 IAS officers were transferred. The additional chief secretary (co-operation and marketing), 1998 batch IAS officer, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, was instructed to take charge as the additional chief secretary (revenue). The additional chief secretary (expenditure) with the finance department, the 1992 batch IAS, Mr. OP Gupta, was mandated to serve as the in-charge of the department. This post lay vacant since Mr. Nitin Kareer was appointed the chief secretary.
The chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, 1992 batch IAS officer, Mr. Sanjay Sethi, replaced officer Parrag Jaiin Nainutia as the additional chief secretary (transport). Mr. Nainutia was appointed in charge of the information technology department. The general manager of BEST, Mr. Vijay Singhal (1997 batch IAS), was appointed vice chairman and managing director at CIDCO, while Milind Shambharkar (2008 batch IAS) was appointed the chief officer of Mumbai Repairs and Reconstruction Board, Mumbai.
The commissioner of the Akola Municipal Corporation, Ms. Kavita Dwivedi, was transferred and posted as the additional divisional commissioner of the Pune division.
