The Forest Department of Maharashtra entered its name in the Guinness Book of World Records (largest potted sapling word) after it drew the words “Bharat Mata” (in Devanagari script) by placing 65,724 saplings across a field in Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
This big achievement was registered during the ongoing Tadoba Festival, inaugurated by the State Forest Minister, Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar. Organised by the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR), the Tadoba Festival 2024 started on March 1 and concluded on March 3. This event unfolded under the pristine theme, “Support wildlife conservation, sustainable tourism and preservation of Maharashtra’s heritage.”
