In a major administrative reshuffle, the state government has transferred five IAS officers to new roles.
Ulhasnagar’s First Woman Commissioner
Ulhasnagar has appointed its first woman commissioner, Ms. Manisha Awhale, a 2019-batch IAS officer. Prior to this posting, Ms. Awhale served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pune Smart City. Hailing from Washim, she holds an LLB degree from ILS, Pune. She completed her probation in Satara and has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Solapur Zila Parishad.
This appointment follows the earlier posting of Ms. Indurani Jakhar (2016-batch IAS officer), another young IAS officer, as the first woman commissioner of Kalyan-Dombivli.
Other Key Transferees:
- Mr. Pankaj Kumar (IAS) previously the Managing Director of Maharashtra State Fisheries Development Corporation, Mumbai, he has been appointed as Project Director of RUSA under the Higher & Technical Education Department.
- Mr. Kishor Tawde (promotee IAS) formerly the Managing Director of Maharashtra State Farming Corporation, Pune, he has been posted as Commissioner of Fisheries, Mumbai.
- Mr. Nandkumar Bedse (IAS) has been appointed as the Managing Director of Maharashtra State Farming Corporation, Pune.
- Ms. Anita Meshram (1996-batch IAS officer) has taken over as the Managing Director of Maharashtra State Fisheries Development Corporation, Mumbai.
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s efforts to strengthen governance and ensure effective leadership across departments.
