Mumbai: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Maharashtra on Monday issued transfer and posting orders for four senior IAS officers, including the posting of newly appointed Selection Grade (Non-SCS) officers, following recent notifications issued by the Union Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery, and optimally utilize administrative expertise across key departments.
Key IAS Transfers and Appointments
According to the official orders issued on February 2, 2026, the following officers have been reassigned:
Shridhar Dube Appointed Commissioner, FDA
Shridhar Dube (IAS:SCS:2014), who was serving as Managing Director, Maharashtra State Co-operative Marketing Federation, Mumbai, has been posted as Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), Mumbai. His appointment comes at a time when regulatory oversight in food and drug safety remains a critical priority for the state.
Satyajit Bade Takes Charge as Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities
Satyajit Bade, appointed by Selection (Non-SCS) under DoPT notification dated January 28, 2026, has been transferred from his role as Additional Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Raigad, and posted as Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Pune. The posting is expected to enhance policy implementation and welfare initiatives for persons with disabilities in Maharashtra.
Dr. Sunil Bhokre Appointed Commissioner, Urban Health
Dr. Sunil Bhokre, also appointed by Selection (Non-SCS) through the DoPT notification dated January 28, 2026, has been shifted from his position as Project Director, Maharashtra AIDS Control Society, Mumbai, and appointed as Commissioner, Urban Health, Mumbai. His experience in public health administration is expected to strengthen urban healthcare delivery systems.
Rahul Kulkarni Named MD, Maharashtra State Co-operative Marketing Federation
Rahul Kulkarni, appointed by Selection (Non-SCS) under the same DoPT notification, has been transferred from his post as Joint Secretary, Home Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, and posted as Managing Director, Maharashtra State Co-operative Marketing Federation, Mumbai.
Strategic Administrative Realignment
The reshuffle involves both career IAS officers and recently inducted Selection Grade officers, highlighting coordinated action between the state government and the central personnel authority.
