Faridabad – In a strong step toward public welfare, NHPC Limited has signed an MoU with the Mewat Trust for Educational Welfare to install water coolers and ensure clean drinking water at 50 police establishments across the Faridabad district of Haryana. The agreement was finalised today as part of NHPC’s CSR efforts.
Under this initiative, water coolers will be installed at police stations to serve not just officers, but also visiting members of the public—offering a fresh, safe source of drinking water. By targeting high-traffic locations, NHPC aims to enhance community well-being and public service delivery.
Aligning CSR with Community Needs
This water-access project is a perfect example of NHPC’s philosophy: delivering utility that transcends megawatt savings. By investing in clean drinking water, the company directly addresses a basic human need. It further reflects NHPC’s commitment to sustainable civic infrastructure and its alignment with Swachh Bharat principles.
The MoU was signed by Shri Anand Kumar Tembhare, GM (HR–CSR) of NHPC, and Shri Shafi Mohammad, Chairman, Mewat Trust for Educational Welfare. The event, held on 16 July 2025, also included NHPC’s Head of CSR in attendance.
