Makrand Deuskar Appointed as First Police Commissioner of Bhopal

Soon after the announcement of the Police Commissionerate system in the city, Makrand Deuskar appointed as the first police commissioner of Bhopal.

He was posted as OSD to Chief Minister of MP.

The State government also shifted five IPS officers and posted them in the newly constituted Bhopal police commissionerate.

1. 2004 batch IPS officer Irshad vali (MP) : Additional Police Commissioner, Law & Order with additional charge of Crime and PHQ, Bhopal.
2. 2010 batch IPS officer Vijay Khatri (MP) : DCP, Bhopal, Zone-3 with additional charges of DCP, Zone-4, and DCP, Traffic and Security.
3. 2014 batch IPS officer Sai Krishna S Thota (MP) : DCP, Bhopal, Zone-1 with additional charges of DCP Zone 2, DCP, Crime, DCP PHQ and SP, Bhopal (Rural).
4. 2017 batch IPS officer Ankit Jaiswal (MP) : Additional DCP, Bhopal, Zone-1.
5. 2019 batch IPS officer Abhinav Vishwakarma (MP) : Additional DCP, Jahangirabad, Bhopal.
