- Presently, Mr Hari Narayan Chari Mishra is serving as Inspector General, Indore Zone.
2003 batch IPS officer Hari Narayan Chari Mishra has been appointed as the first Police Commissioner of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This came after an announcement of the police commissionerate system in the city. Presently, he is serving as Inspector General, Indore Zone.
The State government shifted five IPS officers and posted them in the newly constituted Indore police commissionerate.
- Manish Kapuria (IPS:2009:MP) : Additional Police Commissioner, Law & Order with additional charge of Crime and PHQ, Indore.
- Mahesh Chandra Jain (IPS:2009:MP) : DCP, Indore, Zone-3 with additional charge of DCP, Zone-4.
- Ashutosh Bagari (IPS:2015:MP) : DCP, Indore, Zone-1 with additional charges of DCP, Zone 2, and SP, Indore (Rural).
- Arvind Tiwari (IPS) : DCP, Indore PHQ with additional charge of DCP, Crime, DCP, Security and DCP, Traffic.
- Moti-ur-Rehman (IPS:2019:MP) : ACP, Azad Nagar, Indore with additional charge of ACP, Cyber, ACP, Data Analysis, ACP, Crime, ACP, Homecide, ACP, Properties and ACP, Economic Offence.
