Amidst a recent development, the government of Mizoram appointed a retired IAS officer, Mr. Michael Lalmanzuala (1967 batch), to probe the allegations of misconduct and unfair means employed by the Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) while conducting the Combined Civil Services examinations and recruitment of officers under the state environment, forests and climate change.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced this development at a public meeting in the northeastern Khawzawl district saying, “These kinds of serious allegations have to be investigated and inquired to find out the truth.”
Former Additional Cheif Secretary and member of the MPSC, Mr. J C Ramthanga (1989 batch IAS officer), has been given 7 days to submit his report on the matter.
