MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Highlights Sports in Education and Culture at 7th National Ranking Pickleball Tournament

Chief Minister emphasizes integrating sports into school curriculum, praises athletes’ contributions, and calls for youth participation in Madhya Pradesh’s “Abhyuday” vision

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the 7th National Ranking Pickleball Tournament organized by a private school in Indore, emphasizing the vital role of sports in Indian culture and education. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from players across the state, with several prominent politicians, sports officials, and local representatives in attendance.

Sports as an Integral Part of Culture and Education

CM Dr. Yadav stated that sports have always been a key aspect of Indian culture, shaping personality development and providing direction in life. “We have integrated sports into the school curriculum to ensure that children develop holistically. Our athletes consistently bring recognition to the state and the nation in various sports,” he said. He encouraged all players to give their best in whichever sport they participate in, underscoring dedication and excellence as core values.

Contribution of Athletes to State Development

Dr. Yadav highlighted the historical importance of sports in Indian civilization, noting that Indian athletes have achieved recognition on global platforms long before modern times. He emphasized the role of athletes in the “Navnirman” or development of Madhya Pradesh, stating that their achievements inspire future generations and contribute to building a positive ecosystem for sports infrastructure and talent development in the state.

Madhya Pradesh’s Growth and Opportunities

The Chief Minister also touched upon Madhya Pradesh’s rapid industrial and economic development. He highlighted growth in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cottage industries, agriculture, and allied sectors, positioning the state as a key contributor to India’s journey toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy. “Sports and industry together contribute to holistic development,” he noted, linking economic progress with the spirit of discipline and hard work cultivated through sports.

Encouraging Youth Participation

Speaking at the event, Private School Chairman Mr. Swapnil Kothari emphasized the importance of perseverance and personal effort in shaping one’s personality. He urged young participants to move beyond virtual distractions and engage in physical sports, stating, “Only by stepping onto the field and giving your best can you truly serve your country and achieve excellence.” He also encouraged youth to actively participate in CM Dr. Yadav’s vision of “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh,” contributing to the state’s development in every sphere.

Recognition and Awards

The event also recognized and felicitated athletes who have excelled in various sports, celebrating their achievements and encouraging others to follow their example. Among the dignitaries present were Water Resources Minister Mr. Tulsi Silawat, MLA Mr. Ramesh Mendola, and other local representatives including Mr. Balwant, Mr. Ganesh Agrawal, Mr. Gopal Agrawal, and Mr. Sunil.

Commitment to Sports Infrastructure and Talent Development

Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting sports at the grassroots level, integrating it into educational institutions, and creating world-class infrastructure. He emphasized that such initiatives not only prepare new athletes but also strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s position as a hub for sports, contributing to both social development and the holistic growth of the state.

The 7th National Ranking Pickleball Tournament served as a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent while reinforcing the importance of sports as an essential part of Madhya Pradesh’s educational and cultural fabric.
