Bhopal/Barcelona: In a strategic move aimed at positioning Madhya Pradesh as a global hub for AI, sustainable technology, and green data infrastructure, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Barcelona headquarters of Submer, a world leader in immersion cooling technologies for data centers.

The visit marked an important step toward building future-ready digital infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, aligned with the government’s broader goals of sustainability, investment promotion, and technological advancement.

Exploring Green Innovation and AI-Readiness

During his tour of Submer’s R&D and production facilities, Chief Minister Yadav observed advanced immersion cooling systems, including technologies like Smart Pods and Micro Pods—designed to enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

The company shared that it has already deployed over 400 MW of such solutions globally and holds the distinction of being the first to offer OCP-ready green cooling technology, a benchmark in data center efficiency and sustainability.

Towards a Greener, AI-Driven Madhya Pradesh

Speaking on the occasion, CM Dr. Yadav said:

Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a new energy hub and a promising destination for global investment in data center and AI infrastructure. Collaborations with pioneering tech firms like Submer will enable the state to leap forward in sustainable digital transformation.”

The discussions also included Madhya Pradesh’s vision to become a key player in AI-readiness and environmentally sustainable tech infrastructure, where Submer may play a key advisory and technical role.

Strategic Collaboration on the Horizon

Submer expressed interest in establishing its commercial, R&D, and production units in India, with a focus on Madhya Pradesh as a preferred location. To take the dialogue forward, Dev Tyagi, the company’s India Head, is scheduled to visit the state later this month to explore investment opportunities on the ground.

The collaboration will likely include Submer’s involvement as a technical advisor and certifier in new data center projects in MP, helping to set global design, sustainability, and AI-readiness standards.

The initiative aligns with national and global calls for carbon-neutral computing, and supports India’s broader digital infrastructure mission under Digital India and Make in India frameworks.
