Bhopal: In a significant welfare decision coinciding with Holi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a 3% increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees, bringing it to 58%. Pensioners will also benefit from the revised DA, which will be applicable from January–February 2026. The arrears for the period July 2025 to March 2026 will be paid in six equal installments starting May 2026.
This move by the Madhya Pradesh government marks a major step towards employee welfare and aligns state DA with central government rates.

CM Mohan Yadav shared the announcement via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle:
“On the auspicious occasion of Holi, the Dearness Allowance of state government employees has been increased by 3% to 58%. Employees will receive DA at the same rate as the central government from April 2026 (payable in May). Arrears for July 2025–March 2026 will be disbursed in six equal installments starting May 2026. Pensioners will also get DA at 58% in January–February 2026 pensions. Wishing everyone a Happy Holi!”
