Malhargarh (Mandsaur): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated key infrastructure projects worth over ₹63 crore in Mandsaur district, while reaffirming the state government’s strong commitment towards farmer welfare, rural prosperity, and employment generation.
Addressing the Annadata Samman Samaroh in Malhargarh, the Chief Minister also transferred nearly ₹200 crore as the final instalment of the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana to more than 1.17 lakh farmers across the state through a single-click system.
₹200 Crore Bhavantar Amount Credited to Farmers’ Accounts
Dr. Yadav said farmers are the backbone of the state’s economy and assured that the government stands firmly with them in every situation—be it crop loss due to weather, pests, or natural calamities.
Under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, the government has so far disbursed over ₹1,500 crore to more than 7.10 lakh farmers. On Thursday alone, farmers from Mandsaur district received around ₹43 crore, benefiting more than 27,000 cultivators.
The Chief Minister also handed over Bhavantar cheques on stage to select farmers, including Raghubir Singh, Mukesh Patidar, Omkar Singh, Ramdayal, and Jagdishchandra Patidar.
Madhya Pradesh First State to Implement Bhavantar Scheme
Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh was the first state in the country to introduce the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana through a government mechanism, ensuring farmers receive fair prices for their produce.
He announced that after soybean, the scheme will soon be extended to mustard and groundnut crops, further strengthening income security for farmers.
Infrastructure Boost: Flyover and Railway Projects Launched
The Chief Minister performed the bhoomipujan for major development works, including:
- ₹57.91 crore four-lane flyover on the Mandsaur–Neemuch State Highway in Malhargarh
- ₹5.53 crore railway underbridge at Pipliya Mandi
- Inauguration of a newly constructed railway underpass on the Malhargarh–Narayanगढ़ road at a cost of ₹2.06 crore
Additional announcements included a new flyover in Pipliya Mandi, renovation of Bhuwani Mata Temple, and development of Kaka Gadgil Sagar Dam as a tourist destination.
Act of Bravery Honoured with Compassionate Appointment
In a moving gesture, CM Mohan Yadav honoured the bravery of late Manohar Singh Chauhan, who lost his life while saving four people from a drowning car accident near Malhargarh.
The Chief Minister handed over a compassionate appointment letter to his 22-year-old son Sanjay Singh, appointing him directly as a Police Constable (GD). Calling it “an honour to courage and humanity,” Dr. Yadav said such acts of selfless bravery must always be recognised.
Employment and Youth Empowerment in Focus
Reiterating the government’s employment agenda, Dr. Yadav said that out of the promised one lakh jobs, around 60,000 appointments have already been completed. He announced that 2.5 lakh new jobs will be provided in the state over the next five years.
He also added that under Agriculture Welfare Year 2026, farmers are being connected with agro-based industries and food processing units to promote value addition and higher income.
Farmers’ Prosperity is State’s Prosperity: CM
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said the prosperity of Madhya Pradesh lies in the prosperity of its farmers. The state government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will continue to take farmer-friendly decisions to ensure fair prices, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth.
