Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Friday visited Bahari in Sidhi district to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several development and construction projects worth approximately ₹213.22 crore, marking a significant step towards accelerating infrastructure and welfare initiatives in the region.
During the event, 179 development projects with a total cost of ₹68.01 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for 30 new projects valued at approximately ₹133.63 crore. These projects cover a wide range of sectors, including education, health, tribal welfare, rural development, infrastructure, and water management.
Key Inaugurated Projects
The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister span multiple departments, including:
- Scheduled Castes Department and Tribal Department – Focused on community welfare and social development.
- Higher Education and School Education Departments – Promoting educational access and quality.
- Public Health and Medical Education Department – Strengthening healthcare infrastructure and services.
- Revenue and Public Works Departments – Enhancing roads, buildings, and administrative facilities.
- District Panchayat Watershed Initiatives – Supporting rural water management and agriculture.
These initiatives are expected to improve basic services, infrastructure, and the quality of life for residents in Sidhi and surrounding areas.

New Projects Under Foundation Stone Ceremony
The 30 projects for which the foundation stone was laid include works under:
- Panchayat and Rural Engineering Services
- Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana – Watershed Development
- Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)
- Public Works Department – Building and Road Divisions
These projects are aimed at enhancing rural connectivity, irrigation facilities, and local infrastructure, providing long-term benefits for the region’s development.
Support Under ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ Scheme
In addition, under the ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ (A Garden in the Name of Mother) scheme, 505 beneficiaries were provided financial assistance totaling ₹11.58 crore, aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and improving livelihoods in rural areas.
Training-Cum-Orientation Program for Beneficiaries
Alongside the inauguration and foundation stone ceremony, a training-cum-orientation program was organized for beneficiaries of various departments. The program focused on providing beneficiaries with detailed information about government welfare schemes and ensuring their effective implementation at the grassroots level.
Community Engagement and Social Awareness Initiatives
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also visited exhibitions of products developed by various departments and participated in a signature campaign against child marriage, highlighting the government’s commitment to social awareness and community engagement.

Through these initiatives, the Madhya Pradesh government is actively working to enhance education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and social welfare, particularly for marginalized communities.
