Ratlam: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed the bhoomi-pujan for 57 development projects worth Rs. 246 crore in Kundal village, Ratlam district. The government’s strong focus is on accelerating rural development, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and expanding infrastructure.
Boosting Dairy Sector: Cow Milk Procurement at Higher Prices
Dr. Yadav announced a major policy shift where the state government will now purchase cow milk in addition to buffalo milk, offering better prices to dairy farmers. This move is part of the broader vision to make Madhya Pradesh the Milk Capital of India by 2028.
Under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, farmers establishing units with 25 cows and a cowshed valued up to Rs. 42 lakh will receive an incentive grant of Rs. 10 lakh while retaining full ownership of milk products. Large-scale gaushalas will get up to 25% subsidy on investment costs, encouraging dairy entrepreneurship.

Infrastructure and Water Projects to Strengthen Agriculture
The Chief Minister inaugurated 37 projects worth Rs. 158.64 crore and laid the foundation for 20 projects valued at Rs. 87.27 crore. Among the key approvals were a Rs. 113 crore drinking water scheme and the Mor Kundwa irrigation project, aiming to provide reliable water supply to farmers.
Additionally, a Rs. 220 crore four-lane road between Ratlam and Khachrod will be constructed following a feasibility study, enhancing connectivity and boosting local economy.
Renewed Focus on Public Transport and Green Initiatives
Dr. Yadav promised to relaunch public bus services through the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Yojana, beginning in the Malwa region. Plans for a world-class green corridor from Jaora to Ujjain were also announced, expected to greatly benefit Ratlam district.
Empowering Farmers with Solar Pumps and Irrigation
The government’s Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project will ensure irrigation water reaches every farm and village in Ratlam. Farmers will be provided with solar pumps free of electricity bills, making farming more sustainable and cost-effective.
Comprehensive Welfare and Job Creation Programs
Healthcare initiatives include free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh for the poorest, with air ambulance and helicopter services for emergency care. The Rahveer Yojana offers up to Rs. 1.5 lakh for accident victims’ medical expenses and Rs. 25,000 to helpers, emphasizing community support.
In employment, the government aims to recruit 2.5 lakh candidates over five years, filling all police vacancies within three years. Industrial investors creating jobs will get support, with Rs. 5,000 incentives for each local youth employed.
Housing and Women’s Welfare Initiatives
Every family will receive a permanent home under new housing schemes, ensuring no one is left without shelter. Starting this Diwali, Ladli Behnas will receive Rs. 1,500 monthly, increasing to Rs. 3,000 in five years, promoting gender welfare across the state.

Local Culture and Leadership Participation
Dr. Yadav lauded Ratlam’s unique cultural identity, famous for its jewelry, snacks, and kachoris. He assured development plans for religious sites including Koteshwar and Virupaksha Mahadev.
The event saw participation from local leaders including MP Anita Nagar Singh Chouhan, MLA Mathuralal Damor, and other dignitaries. The Chief Minister was honored with traditional tribal ceremonies, symbolizing respect and community unity.
