Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized that ensuring the safety and prosperity of fishermen in Madhya Pradesh is a top priority for his government. Unveiling a series of high-impact initiatives, Dr. Yadav said modern technology and infrastructure will be deployed to support the welfare of the fishing community and promote sustainable aquaculture in the state.
As part of these efforts, a high-tech command control center equipped with drones, GPS tracking, and CCTV surveillance is being set up at Indira Sagar Reservoir by the Madhya Pradesh Matsya Mahasangh. The system will enable 24×7 live monitoring of large water bodies, allowing for rapid emergency response and better fishery management.
“This integrated monitoring will enhance the safety of fishermen and aid in identifying breeding zones, improving both ecological balance and fish yield,” said the Chief Minister.

- Solar mobile charging stations
- Bio-toilets
These structures are particularly vital during the monsoon season when rising water levels and aquatic wildlife pose dangers to fishermen living on boats or makeshift shelters.
