Bhopal: Property details submitted by Madhya Pradesh (MP) cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the Union Home Ministry reveal that a majority of senior officers are millionaires, with agricultural land, commercial, and residential properties being their preferred investment avenues.

Among the 76 IPS officers at the DG, ADG, IG, and SP levels, nearly 59% own assets exceeding ₹1 crore, highlighting the substantial wealth accumulation in the state’s police hierarchy.

K.P. Venkateshwar Rao, ADG (Technical Services) – ₹6.25 crore, income ₹3.6 lakh. Assets in Telangana and Delhi include flats, land, and houses.

Ravi Kumar Gupta, Special DG (Railways) – ₹5.27 crore, annual income ₹26.28 lakh. Assets spread across Bhopal, Gwalior, Raisen, and Delhi.

Chanchal Shekhar, ADG (SAF) – ₹5.05 crore, annual income ₹17.75 lakh. Assets include agricultural land, flats, and commercial property.

SP-Level Officers

Among 16 SP-level officers, all are crorepatis, with DCP Crime Akhil Patel holding the highest assets at ₹6.87 crore.

Other notable SP-level officers include Rajgarh SP Amit Tolani with ₹3.85 crore.

Eleven SP-level officers declared no assets.
