New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has announced the extension of the Additional Charge of the post of Director (Finance), MTNL assigned to Mr. Rajiv Kumar, who currently serves as Director (Finance) of BSNL. The extension is for a period of three months, effective from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders.
Extension Details and Tenure
The extension allows Mr. Rajiv Kumar to continue overseeing the financial management and strategic planning of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) during a transitional period. This arrangement remains subject to the pending approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
- Tenure of Extension: December 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026
- Conditions: Valid until a permanent appointment is made or until further orders by DoT
