New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited celebrated its 66th Foundation Day on 15 November 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marking over six decades of its pioneering role in India’s infrastructure and urban development landscape.
The event was attended by an esteemed gathering including Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC, Directors Shri Saleem Ahmad, Dr. Suman Kumar, Anjeev Kumar Jain, government nominee directors Shri Sanjeet and Shri Ravi Kumar Arora, and Independent Directors Prof. Bhimrao Panda Bhosale, Shri Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Deepak Singh and Shri Vishal Puri.
Smt. Ritu Pande, CVO, senior officials of the Ministry and NBCC, invited guests, employees and their families were also present.
NBCC 66th Foundation Day: Union Ministers and Secretary Convey Greetings Virtually
- Hon’ble Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, and Secretary, Housing & Urban Affairs Shri Srinivas Katikithala conveyed their greetings via virtual messages.

- Mr Manohar Lal lauded NBCC’s remarkable contributions to nation-building, highlighting its technical expertise, transparency and timely execution of major projects in India and abroad.

- Mr Srinivas Katikithala emphasized NBCC’s pivotal role in transforming towns and villages into robust urban centers, and expressed confidence in NBCC’s expanding contribution to India’s future infrastructure ecosystem.
NBCC 66th Foundation Day: Celebrating 150 Years of “Vande Mataram”
The programme commenced with the rendition of the National Song “Vande Mataram”, marking the year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary. The audience participated in unison, creating a patriotic and emotional start to the event.
Launch of Coffee Table Book ‘Punah Rachna’ on NBCC 66th Foundation Day
A key highlight of the ceremony was the release of the Coffee Table Book “Punah Rachna”, symbolizing re-creation and innovation.
The publication showcases:
- NBCC’s transformative redevelopment projects across India
- Landmark redevelopment of seven GPRA colonies in New Delhi under a self-sustaining financial model
- Major national redevelopment initiatives
- Turnaround of Amrapali (now Aspire) projects
- Karkardooma TOD development
- Bharat Mandapam
- NBCC’s international milestone — a 2,000-unit mass housing project in Maldives
- The book captures NBCC’s journey of reshaping India’s urban infrastructure through sustainable and innovative development.
Felicitating 30,000 Shramjeevis Nationwide
As part of the Foundation Day celebrations, NBCC honoured around 30,000 shramjeevis (construction workers) across its project sites nationwide.
This gesture underscores the organisation’s commitment to worker welfare, dignity and recognition of the workforce that forms the backbone of India’s infrastructure growth.
CMD Highlights Vision for Viksit Bharat @ 2047
Addressing the gathering, Shri K. P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, outlined NBCC’s recent milestones and reaffirmed its commitment to contributing significantly to the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 vision.
He emphasized NBCC’s dedication to innovation, sustainable development and excellence in execution.
Cultural Extravaganza and Musical Finale
The celebration included vibrant performances by NBCC’s in-house cultural group “Umang“, featuring:
- Ramp walk
- Bollywood mash-up
- Dance performances by employees
The event concluded on a high note with a live musical performance by renowned Indian music composer and singer Amit Trivedi, who captivated the audience with his energetic and soulful renditions.
