New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RAILTEL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, to jointly develop data centre projects across India and internationally. The MoU, effective for a period of five years, will see the two companies collaborate on every phase of the project, from concept to commissioning.
The agreement was formally signed by Shri Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director (Business Development) at NBCC, and Shri J.S. Marwah, Company Secretary and General Manager (Law) at RailTel, in the presence of senior officials including Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC, and Shri Sanjai Kumar, CMD, RailTel, among others.

Under the terms of the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of data centre buildings and associated civil and passive infrastructure. RailTel, on the other hand, will offer its expertise in planning, designing, and delivering IT-related infrastructure for data centres, including supply, installation, testing, commissioning (SITC), and ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M).
This collaboration combines the strengths of both organizations, enabling them to optimize their service delivery and enhance client acquisition in the fast-growing data centre industry. The MoU aims to deliver long-term, sustainable growth by leveraging each partner’s core capabilities in infrastructure and IT services.
