New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has announced the appointment of two Non-Official Independent Directors (NOIDs) to its Board. The appointments are effective from April 23, 2025, for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The appointments of Dr. Deepak Singh, a distinguished healthcare professional, and Prof. Bhimrao Panda Bhosale, a noted academician in linguistics and translation studies, have been approved by the Ministry and disclosed through an official company statement.
Dr. Deepak Singh
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Singh is a medical doctor (MBBS, MD) with advanced training in Health and Family Welfare Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and biomedical data analysis. His career spans academic, healthcare, and administrative domains, including a stint as Officer on Special Duty to the Government of India. He also previously served as an Independent Director at HSCC (India) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NBCC.
Prof. Bhimrao Panda Bhosale
An expert in linguistics and translation studies, Prof. Bhosale is currently the Professor and Head of the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Hyderabad. Holding a Master’s and Ph.D. in English, he has led major cross-cultural translation projects and has made notable contributions to linguistic research. His reappointment marks a continuation of his prior tenure on the NBCC Board from November 2021 to November 2024.
NBCC confirmed that neither appointee is debarred from holding the position of director by SEBI or any other regulatory authority, in compliance with applicable governance norms.
