New Delhi: In a landmark development reaffirming its leadership in defence and public infrastructure, NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has bagged a ₹350 crore Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignment from the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), a unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), Ministry of Defence, located in Avadi, Chennai.
The prestigious assignment was awarded through a Quality-cum-Cost Based Selection (QCBS) process, underscoring NBCC’s superior technical and project management credentials.
Scope of the NBCC Defence Infrastructure Project
Under the agreement, NBCC will act as the Project Management Consultant for the design, engineering, and execution of key defence infrastructure facilities, including:
- AVNL Corporate Office Complex
- Ordnance Development Centre and Workshop
- Test track infrastructure to augment the T-Series Tank overhaul capacity
- Residential quarters for AVNL personnel within the HVF and AVNL estates
The project is valued at ₹350 crore and carries a completion timeline of 36 months.
