NBCC Wins ₹2,966 Crore PMC Contract from NMRDA for Naveen Nagpur Phase-1 Development

The Navratna PSU will provide project management consultancy for the large-scale urban development project, further strengthening its presence in India’s infrastructure sector.

New Delhi: State-owned construction major NBCC (India) Limited has announced a major achievement in its infrastructure portfolio with the award of a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) contract worth approximately ₹2,966.10 crore. The work order has been issued by the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) and falls under the company’s routine business operations.

PMC Assignment for Naveen Nagpur – Phase 1

According to NBCC’s regulatory filing, the contract involves comprehensive project management services for the development of Naveen Nagpur – Phase 1, a key urban expansion and modernization initiative in Maharashtra.
NBCC will be responsible for supervising and managing multiple components of the development programme, including planning, monitoring, quality control, coordination, and execution oversight.

This assignment aligns with NBCC’s role as a leading government-backed consultancy handling large-scale, complex infrastructure projects across India.

Strengthening NBCC’s Urban Infrastructure Portfolio

The company clarified that the awarded work is entirely domestic and reinforces NBCC’s growing footprint in the urban development and integrated township sector. While the exact timeline for execution has not yet been disclosed, officials confirmed that the project is aligned with the firm’s ongoing strategy of expanding its consultancy base across major Indian cities.

NBCC also confirmed that the order does not qualify as a related-party transaction, with no involvement of the promoter group, group entities, or affiliates in NMRDA’s decision-making process.

No Conflict of Interest, Says NBCC

In its disclosure, NBCC stated that the new contract adheres to all statutory norms and procurement protocols. It further emphasised that the award was made independently by NMRDA and does not involve any conflict of interest or promoter-related influence.
