NBCC Bags ₹498.30-Crore DVC Order to Build Integrated Township at Chandrapura Thermal Power Station

State-owned NBCC wins major PMC project from Damodar Valley Corporation as company shares trade higher on strong order pipeline.

New Delhi: State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd. has announced the receipt of a major work order worth approximately ₹498.30 crore from the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The contract pertains to the construction of an integrated township at the Chandrapura Thermal Power Station located in Chandrapura, Jharkhand.

The company confirmed that the order was received in the ordinary course of business, further strengthening NBCC’s presence in large-scale infrastructure and township development projects across the country.

Project Under Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Scope

NBCC stated that the newly awarded work falls under the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) category. As part of the assignment, the company will oversee planning, coordination, and execution for the township’s development, which is expected to support operations and residential needs associated with the thermal power station.

The project, valued at ₹498.30 crore, reflects NBCC’s growing reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and township projects for both central and state government entities.

NBCC Shares Trade Higher After Announcement

Following the announcement, shares of NBCC witnessed positive movement in the market. At the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stock was trading 1.20% higher at ₹115.46. The shares opened at ₹114.70 and reached an intraday high of ₹116.95, indicating investor confidence in the company’s expanding order book.

NBCC’s market capitalization currently stands at ₹31,110 crore, highlighting the company’s strong position in India’s infrastructure and construction sector.

Strengthening NBCC’s Order Pipeline

With this new order from DVC, NBCC continues to consolidate its portfolio of government-backed infrastructure projects. The integrated township contract is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s execution pipeline, further enhancing growth prospects in the coming quarters.
