New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited conducted a one-day training programme for its officials under the Rashtriya Karmayogi – Serving the Karmayogi Way initiative, launched by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC). This programme is part of the Government of India’s larger mission to cultivate a more empathetic, efficient, and citizen-focused workforce in public administration.
The training is a key component of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme, a nationwide behavioural transformation initiative designed to instil “Seva Bhaav”—the spirit of selfless public service—among government officials.
Diverse Participation Reflects NBCC’s Cross-Functional Commitment
The programme witnessed active participation from officials across multiple verticals, including Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Law, and Project Management. This diversity underscored NBCC’s holistic approach toward internal capacity building and work culture transformation.
By bringing together professionals from varied backgrounds, the training aimed to reinforce a shared sense of responsibility and service orientation, cutting across technical and administrative roles.
Interactive Sessions Emphasize Citizen-Centric Governance
Delivered through an interactive and immersive learning format, the training sensitised participants on the core principles of public service, leadership in governance, and citizen-centric service delivery.
Through practical scenarios, reflective exercises, and value-driven discussions, the programme encouraged officials to internalise key behavioural competencies such as:
- Empathy in public dealings
- Integrity in decision-making
- Excellence in service delivery
Such competencies are critical to enhancing the overall performance of public sector entities and aligning them with New India’s governance vision.
NBCC’s Strong Commitment to Nation-Building Beyond Infrastructure
NBCC’s proactive involvement in the Karmayogi initiative highlights its evolving role—not just as a premier infrastructure development organisation, but as a driver of behavioural excellence and institutional transformation.
By investing in the professional and ethical development of its human resources, NBCC is laying the foundation for a workforce that is skilled, service-driven, and aligned with the aspirations of a citizen-first governance model.
