State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has partnered with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd. (MAHAPREIT) to undertake housing and urban development projects worth ₹25,000 crore in Maharashtra.
As per NBCC’s announcement, the strategic MoU will facilitate collaboration on consultancy, fee-based services, EPC contracts, and redevelopment initiatives from planning to execution.
This marks NBCC’s entry into redevelopment in Maharashtra, following its success in transforming Delhi’s urban landscape. The partnership will focus on infrastructure projects such as cluster development in Thane, data centres, renewable energy ventures, slum rehabilitation in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), and residential developments under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The projects, valued at ₹25,000 crore, will be implemented in phases over the next three to five years.
The MoU was signed in the presence of NBCC CMD K P Mahadevaswamy and MAHAPREIT MD Bipin Shrimali (IAS Rtd), with Pradeep Sharma, Executive Director, NBCC, and Murthy PRK, Project Director, MAHAPREIT, formalising the agreement.
NBCC operates in the project management consultancy (PMC) and real estate sectors.
