New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, received significant recognition for its commitment to promoting the Hindi language and official language implementation. The company was awarded the prestigious “Shield Award” by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Delhi (Undertaking-2), for publishing its in-house Hindi magazine “Nirman Bharti.”

The award was presented during the half-yearly meeting of NARAKAS Delhi (Undertakings-2) held at the DMRC Metro Bhavan Auditorium in New Delhi. Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC and Chairman of NARAKAS Delhi (Undertakings-2), handed over the Shield Award to T.D. Mairal, General Manager (HRM/IR/Rajbhasha) of NBCC, along with other officials from the Rajbhasha department.
Recognition of Individual Excellence in Official Language Promotion
In addition to the company’s accolade, Mrs. Vandana Ojha, Manager (Official Language) at NBCC, was individually recognized for her outstanding performance. She secured third place in the Official Language Quiz Competition held during the event. Mrs. Ojha was awarded a certificate and trophy by the NARAKAS Chairman, acknowledging her dedication to promoting Hindi and official language initiatives.

The recognition from TOLIC Delhi reflects NBCC’s ongoing efforts to encourage the use of Hindi within its operations and foster awareness about the importance of the official language.
