Hyderabad: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower utility, celebrated a major sporting achievement as Mr. Anoop Kumar and Mr. Om Prakash secured the Gold Medal in the Men’s Doubles category at the 28th Inter-CPSU Carrom Tournament held in Hyderabad. The victory highlights NHPC’s growing prominence in corporate sports and its commitment to encouraging employee participation in competitive events.

The four-day event, conducted from December 21 to 24, 2025, was organized by REC Limited under the patronage of the Power Sports Control Board (PSCB). The tournament saw fierce competition, with 12 elite men’s teams representing various Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) across the power sector.
Mr. Anoop Kumar and Mr. Om Prakash demonstrated exceptional skill, coordination, and composure, overcoming strong opponents to clinch the top spot in Men’s Doubles. Their win reflects both individual talent and the effectiveness of team synergy at high-pressure levels of competition.
