IAS officer Nitin Career has been appointed as the MD, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro). A 1988 batch IAS of Maharashtra cadre Mr. Kareer is Additional Chief Secretary (Finance).
The Maha-Metro will be his additional responsibility as its former Managing Director Brijesh Dixit retired.
Currently, the Pune and Nagpur metro work is underway. Mr. Kareer was Pune Municipal Commissioner earlier.
