Kesariya: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted an inspection of the Tourist Facility Centre under construction in Kesariya, a historic site in East Champaran, along with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and several other ministers. The project, being developed at an estimated cost of ₹17.15 crore, is part of the state government’s efforts to promote tourism and provide modern amenities to visitors.
During the visit, CM Kumar reviewed the progress of ongoing works, interacted with officials, and provided directions to ensure world-class facilities for tourists. He emphasized that the infrastructure should be designed to attract more visitors to this historic destination, reflecting the region’s cultural and historical significance.
Visit to Tajpur Higher Secondary School and Women’s Engagement
Following the Kesariya inspection, the Chief Minister visited Tajpur Higher Secondary School, where he interacted with women in the community, advising them on ways to improve social and educational engagement. He also observed the rangoli art created by students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ School, appreciating their creativity and efforts in promoting cultural activities among young girls.
Health and Wellness Focus
CM Kumar also visited the Health and Wellness Centre in Tajpur to review the facilities and ensure that adequate healthcare services are being provided to local residents. The inspection highlighted the government’s focus on holistic development, combining tourism, education, and health services to benefit both locals and visitors.
