New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Nivedita Dubey for the prestigious position of Member (Human Resources) at the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The selection was made during a PESB interview held on Friday, which saw a strong field of contenders from AAI and other leading public sector undertakings (PSUs).
Currently serving as Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region) at AAI, Nivedita Dubey brings extensive administrative and leadership experience in the aviation sector. Her recommendation marks an important milestone in AAI’s leadership transition, as the organisation continues to strengthen its human resource policies and workforce strategy in alignment with India’s growing aviation ambitions.
Intense Selection Process with 12 Senior Candidates
The PESB meeting witnessed participation from 12 senior officials across various PSUs. Among those interviewed were several key executives from AAI, including:
- Rajagopal Prabhu, Executive Director (HRD), AAI
- Nandita Bhatt, Executive Director (Planning), AAI
- Maya Lavania, Executive Director (Administration), AAI
- B. Muralidaran, General Manager, AAI
- Rishykesh Priyadarshy, General Manager (HR), AAI
In addition to AAI officials, the interview panel also considered candidates from other major public sector entities such as the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO), and Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL).
Role and Responsibilities of Member (HR)
The Member (HR) position is a key leadership role within AAI, responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s human resources strategy across its pan-India network. The role involves overseeing recruitment, training and development, industrial relations, and personnel welfare.
As AAI continues to expand and modernise its airports to meet the demands of a rapidly growing aviation sector, effective human resource management will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and employee satisfaction.
Next Step: ACC Approval
While the PESB has made its recommendation, the appointment will take effect only after approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Once cleared, Nivedita Dubey will officially assume the post of Member (HR), joining AAI’s top management team responsible for steering policy and governance decisions.
