New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna government-owned PSU, has successfully commissioned the third and final phase of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The project’s last phase, with a capacity of 141.17 MW, became commercially operational on January 24, 2026, marking the completion of the full project.
The Part Commissioning Certificate for the final phase was received from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) on the same day.
Earlier Phases of the Project
The Barsingsar solar project had earlier phases commissioned in 2025:
- First Phase: 52.83 MW – operational from August 26, 2025
- Second Phase: 106 MW – operational from November 2, 2025
With the third phase now operational, the 300 MW project is fully commissioned and contributing to India’s clean energy grid.
Renewable Energy Capacity Reaches 1,766 MW
Following this milestone, NLC India’s total installed renewable energy capacity has increased to 1,766 MW, reinforcing the company’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy. The expansion aligns with India’s national renewable energy targets and supports the country’s transition toward greener power sources.
