New Delhi: NLC India Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, has appointed Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia as its Director (Planning & Projects). The appointment was approved by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, through an official order dated November 26, 2025, and will take effect from December 2, 2025. Sisodia will hold the position until his superannuation on May 31, 2028, or until further orders.
Bringing Advanced Technological Expertise to NLC India
Rajesh Pratap Singh Sisodia is a mechanical engineering graduate from the Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra and brings extensive experience in technical and management operations within the energy sector. During his career, he has played a pivotal role in introducing advanced technological solutions, including:
- Supercritical power systems for higher efficiency
- Flue gas desulphurisation to reduce environmental pollution
- Air-cooled condensers aimed at lowering water usage and environmental impact
He has also served as a nominee director in BHEL’s joint ventures with Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. and NTPC Ltd., demonstrating his strategic and operational expertise in the energy sector.
Role and Responsibilities at NLC India
As Director (Planning & Projects), Sisodia will oversee the company’s strategic planning, project development, and implementation operations. His role will involve:
- Driving long-term planning and policy initiatives for NLC India
- Supervising new projects and technological deployments
- Ensuring efficient execution of ongoing projects
- Integrating sustainable practices in line with environmental standards
With his technical acumen and experience in large-scale energy projects, Sisodia is expected to significantly contribute to NLC India’s growth and modernization efforts.
