Hyderabad: On November 15, NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, celebrated its 68th Foundation Day with pride and grandeur. The event, held in Hyderabad, highlighted the organisation’s remarkable journey from a single-unit mining operation established in 1958 to a mining giant contributing significantly to India’s mineral security.
Foundation Day Marks 68 Years of Mining Leadership
The celebration underscored NMDC’s position as a global mining leader with decades of operational excellence and technological advancements. From developing world-class iron ore projects to driving innovation in the minerals sector, NMDC has been instrumental in strengthening India’s steel ecosystem and supporting national infrastructure growth.
Senior leadership, including CMD Mr. Amitava Mukherjee, Director (Commercial) Mr. Vishwanath Suresh, Director (Technical) Mr. Vinay Kumar, Director (Production) Mr. Joydeep Dasgupta, Director (Personnel) Priyadarshini, independent directors, employees, and their families were present at the grand ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, CMD Mr. Amitava Mukherjee said:
