National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has launched an Ex-Employee portal named ‘Samman’. This initiative was unveiled on 28 March at the headquarters of NMDC in Hyderabad. It was launched by NMDC Chief Managing Director (CMD) (additional charge) Amitava Mukherjee. This process was done in the presence of Director (Technical) Vinay Kumar, CVO B Vishwanath, Heads of Projects, and other Head Office department heads.
NMDC, the largest iron ore producer, is known for its upliftment of human resources that are responsible for its success. ‘Samman’ is one such initiative, which will help the Ex-Employees to manage various medical claims, view personal profiles, dependent details, and application status, all online. This portal ensures hassle free on-time reimbursements and access to retiral service.
Mr. Mukherjee explained that this user-friendly portal will ensure hassle free benefits to the NMDC family, even after retirement.
This portal is seen as a digital leap that will provide care and inclusive environment for those employees who have been a part of NMDC’s success.
