New Delhi: NMDC Steel Ltd has entrusted Mr. Joydeep Dasgupta, Director (Production), with the additional charge of Director (Personnel) for a period of three months, effective from February 1, 2026, to April 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The decision has been taken in accordance with the Ministry of Steel order No. S-14013/1/2025-BLA-Part(1) dated January 14, 2026, read along with an earlier order dated March 20, 2023.
Regulatory Disclosure and Continuity in Leadership
The company informed stock exchanges about the development under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. During this period, Mr. Dasgupta will continue to discharge his existing responsibilities as Director (Production) while also overseeing personnel and human resource functions.
NMDC Steel Ltd said the arrangement will ensure continuity in leadership and smooth functioning of critical operational and administrative domains.

Strengthening Governance and Operational Stability
The assignment of additional charge reflects the company’s focus on maintaining stable governance and effective decision-making at the senior management level. Officials noted that the interim arrangement will support organizational efficiency while ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
