On July 1st, the Maharatna PSU National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) reported a 9.5% year-on-year surge in its power generation to 113.87 billion units (BUs) when the quarter ended in June 2024.
Its coal stations also recorded a plant load factor (PLF), a measure of average capacity utilisation of a thermal power unit, of 79.5%!
In a separate statement, the NTPC announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd, has traded 11.5 billion units in Q1 FY25, with a growth of 43% YoY.
