New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commercial operation of new solar and wind capacities in Gujarat, further expanding its renewable energy portfolio. The addition includes 37.5 MW solar capacity and 13.2 MW wind capacity under hybrid projects, boosting the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group to 10,126.40 MW.
The projects were developed through Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, and became operational effective April 2, 2026.
Expansion of Hybrid Renewable Energy Projects
The newly commissioned capacities form part of larger projects in Gujarat:
- Solar: 37.5 MW, part of a 150 MW solar project
- Wind: 13.2 MW, part of a 100 MW hybrid project combining 92.4 MW wind and 37.5 MW solar
These hybrid projects integrate solar and wind energy generation, optimizing energy output and supporting regional renewable energy development.
Strengthening India’s Renewable Energy Footprint
With the addition of these capacities, the NTPC Green Energy Group’s commercial capacity has increased from 10,075.70 MW to 10,126.40 MW. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to:
- Accelerating India’s green energy transition
