NTPC Simhadri marked a significant stride in its green energy journey by inaugurating its first Rooftop Solar Plant at the township on the occasion of its 28th Raising Day. The newly installed 33kW AC Rooftop Solar system, located at the Sharda Guesthouse, was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sameer Sharma, Executive Director and Head of Project, Simhadri.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. P. K. Jena, Chief General Manager (O&M), Ms. S. Padmapriya, General Manager (TS), along with other senior officials. The solar system has been successfully commissioned and synchronized with the grid, reinforcing NTPC Simhadri’s commitment to achieving Net Energy Zero goals.
This initiative is a key part of NTPC Simhadri’s broader sustainability strategy and aligns with NTPC’s national focus on promoting renewable energy and environmental responsibility. The commissioning of the rooftop system reflects Simhadri’s proactive approach in adopting clean energy solutions not just in operational areas but also in residential zones.
