New Delhi: NTPC Vindhyachal has commenced its Corporate HR Excellence Assessment journey with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), marking a significant step towards benchmarking and strengthening its people management and organizational practices.
Assessment Inaugurated at Vindhyachal
The assessment process began on February 10 at the Administrative Building of NTPC Vindhyachal, with an opening session attended by senior management and the CII assessment team. The programme was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the NTPC Geet, reflecting the organisation’s values, culture, and legacy.
The CII assessors were formally welcomed by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Chief General Manager (Vindhyachal), along with the station’s senior leadership team.

Management Emphasises Continuous Improvement
Addressing the gathering, Sanjib Kumar Saha thanked the CII assessment team for their guidance and emphasized NTPC Vindhyachal’s openness to constructive feedback. He highlighted the station’s commitment to continuous improvement and organizational excellence through structured evaluation and learning.
Focus Areas of the HR Excellence Journey
The opening presentation showcased NTPC Vindhyachal’s excellence journey across four key thematic areas.
- An overview of the Indian power sector and the station’s operational performance was presented by Ram Sewak Jaiswal, DGM (EEMG).
- Human resource practices and corporate social responsibility initiatives were outlined by Kamna Sharma, DGM (HR).
- Digitalisation initiatives were detailed by Sourabh Banaudha, DGM (IT).
- Health and wellness initiatives were presented by Dr. Vertika Kulshrestha, Senior Specialist, Vindhya Hospital.
