NTPC WR-I Hosts Corporate Communications Workshop on Stakeholder Management at RGPPL, Ratnagiri

The workshop brought together NTPC leaders, communication experts, and HR heads to strengthen stakeholder engagement and transparency.

Ratnagiri: NTPC Western Region-I Headquarters (WR-I HQs) successfully organised a Regional Corporate Communications Meet-cum-Workshop on Stakeholder Management at Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited (RGPPL), Ratnagiri, on 1 September 2025.

Leadership Presence and Participation

The workshop was graced by Mr. Santosh Kumar Takhele, Regional Executive Director (West-I) and CEO (RGPPL), along with Business Unit Heads, HR Heads, senior executives, and Corporate Communications professionals from across NTPC WR-I projects and stations. Faculty members and industry experts also contributed to the sessions.

Ceremonial Opening and Inaugural Address

The programme began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and the NTPC Geet, followed by a welcome address from Smt. Vandana Chaturvedi, Regional Head of HR (West-I).
In his inaugural remarks, Mr. Takhele emphasized the critical role of transparent communication and stakeholder engagement in building organizational trust and resilience.

The workshop featured insightful sessions by eminent speakers:

  • Ms. Divanshi Gupta, Founder & Director, The Marcom Avenue — Strategic Social Media for PSUs: Driving Public Trust, Transparency & Reputation in the Digital Era.
  • Ms. Aakriti Bhargava, Co-Founder, Wizikey — Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Communications and PR in the Public Sector.
  • Mr. Jitendra Bhargava, Former Executive Director, Air India — Leadership in the Eye of the Storm: Strategic Crisis Communication and Stakeholder Management in High-Stakes Environments.
  • Mr. K. M. Prashanth, Head of Corporate Communications, NTPC — From Information to Engagement: Transforming Internal Communication Practices in NTPC.

Case Studies and Recognition

Corporate Communications teams from NTPC WR-I projects presented case studies showcasing innovative initiatives in crisis management and brand building. These presentations highlighted practical strategies and reinforced the importance of institutional image building.

Reaffirming Commitment to Stakeholder Engagement

Addressing the participants, Mr. Takhele remarked, “Effective stakeholder engagement is at the heart of sustainable growth. Workshops like this provide an invaluable platform for our teams to exchange knowledge, align communication strategies, and collectively build a robust institutional image.”

Mr. K. M. Prashanth added, “These regional meets are not just knowledge-sharing forums but catalysts for creating stronger, proactive communication frameworks. By enhancing transparency and collaboration, we ensure that NTPC continues to uphold public trust and operational excellence.”

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of NTPC Western Region’s commitment to strengthening stakeholder relationships, advancing communication practices, and fostering a consistent and trustworthy brand image.
