Goa: In a significant step towards energy diversification and sustainability, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has signed nine Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading companies and research institutions during India Energy Week 2026 being held in Goa.
The strategic agreements focus on green and renewable energy, LNG development, bio-refinery value addition, petrochemicals, and advanced research & development, marking NRL’s accelerated transition beyond traditional refining into future-ready energy segments.
Strategic Push Towards Sustainable and Integrated Energy Portfolio
The newly signed MoUs underline NRL’s ambition to evolve into an integrated energy company, aligned with India’s long-term energy transition goals. The collaborations aim to unlock value from NRL’s Bio-Refinery, upcoming Polypropylene Plant, and downstream marketing capabilities while strengthening innovation in clean and emerging technologies.

The MoUs were signed on behalf of NRL by senior executives Mr. Pratul Saikia, SCGM (Finance), Mr. Jyoti Bhusan Sarma, CGM (Business Development), and Mr. Jayanta Goswami, CGM (Corporate Communications).
