In a significant push to industrial growth, the Odisha government on Friday approved 17 investment projects worth ₹3,878.86 crore, set to create 10,584 jobs across 11 districts. The greenlight came during a State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
These projects span a wide range of sectors, including plastics, textiles (including technical textiles), food processing, ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing), power and renewables, tourism, logistics, chemicals, and steel.
Major Sectoral Investments:
Plastics Sector:
Six proposals were cleared in this segment. Notably, Greenwave Circularity Pvt. Ltd. will invest ₹650.23 crore in Khurda to set up a large-scale recycled plastic facility, creating 600 jobs. Gurumaharaj Mining & Industries Pvt. Ltd. is set to manufacture underground pipelines in the same district with ₹239.07 crore, adding 860 jobs.
Cuttack will see an investment of ₹175 crore from Supreme Industries for a new plastic products unit, while Lucro Plastecycle will develop a recycling unit in Jagatsinghpur worth ₹100 crore, generating over 1,600 jobs. Royal Touch Fablon’s ₹60.78 crore project in Balasore will manufacture PP woven sacks and create 600 jobs.
Textiles & Technical Textiles:
Khurda continues to attract investment, with MAS India Clothing Pvt. Ltd. establishing a fabric processing mill with ₹885 crore, set to employ 1,700 people. Isolloyd Engineering Technologies will invest ₹51 crore in Jajpur for producing ceramic fibre products, generating 175 jobs.
ESDM & Electronics:
Heraeus Technologies will invest ₹188.46 crore in an advanced manufacturing unit for metallurgical sensors and instruments in Khurda, creating 400 jobs. Addsoft Technologies is planning an electronics unit in Cuttack with ₹112 crore, bringing in 330 jobs.
Food Processing:
Ganesh Consumer Products will invest ₹52.38 crore for a flour mill in Khurda, adding 110 jobs, while Ranisati Green Biofuels will set up a grain-based ethanol plant in Boudh worth ₹110 crore, employing 260 people.
Renewable Energy:
Iron Triangle Ltd. will set up a 200 MWh battery energy storage facility in Bolangir with ₹310.75 crore, aiming to enhance the state’s green energy infrastructure and generate 128 jobs.
Steel Industry:
Sambalpur will host a ₹400 crore integrated steel plant by Samaleshwari Ferrometals, which will scale up its sponge iron operations and offer 350 jobs.
Tourism:
Raysons Enterprises will build an eco-resort, ‘Mayfair Hideout’, in Puri district’s Balukhand area with an investment of ₹53 crore, creating 116 jobs.
Logistics & Infrastructure:
Two large projects include a ₹217.40 crore freight terminal and coal washery in Sundargarh by Alpha Coal Beneficiation, offering 400 jobs, and a ₹218.80 crore logistics park in Khurda by Bhubaneswar Logipark, expected to generate 2,700 jobs.
Chemicals:
Special Blasts Ltd. will set up an explosives manufacturing unit in Angul’s Talcher area with an outlay of ₹54.99 crore, creating 75 new jobs.
These approvals reflect Odisha’s continued focus on industrial diversification and regional development, ensuring both economic growth and job creation across the state.
