On June 6th, in a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha, the Election Commission of India revoked the suspension of Mr. D S Kutey (1997-batch IPS officer) with the condition that other directions are given vide ECI letter dated 28.05.24 will continue as per the rules applicable. The letter read, “Departmental proceedings, if instituted, can only be decided with concurrence of the Commission. D. S. Kutey, IPS, may report to Chief Secretary, Odisha for further posting as deemed fit.”
