Odisha’s General Administration & Public Grievance Department has notified that Ms. Sujata R Karthikeyan (2000 batch IAS officer), the incumbent Special Secretary in the Odisha Finance Department, had been granted child care leave for six months, from May 31 to November 26, 2024.
The notification further read that Ms. Karthikeyan has to take care of her minor daughter who is appearing for her 10th exam.
The leave assumes special significance as Ms. Sujata R Karthikeyan is the wife of bureaucrat-turned-politician, Mr. V K Pandian.
