Rajahmundry: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has set a global benchmark in blowout control operations after its Crisis Management Team successfully capped Well Mori 05 in a record time of just five days. The feat is considered extremely rare in international emergency response operations, highlighting ONGC’s operational excellence and preparedness.

The operation was carried out under highly challenging field conditions, requiring precise execution, quick decision-making, and strong coordination among multiple teams. The effort was led by G. Shrihari, Head of the Crisis Management Team, with continuous support from the Rajahmundry operational team. Strategic guidance was provided by ONGC Director of Technology and Field Services, Vikram Saxena.
