IAS officer Pawan Kumar Sain will be the next Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Arunachal Pradesh. The Election Commission of India has approved the appointment of Mr. Sain who is an AGMUT cadre officer of 2005 batch. He will take this charge from Padmini Singla, with immediate effect, relinquishing any previous charges or roles held within the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and will continue to serve until further orders. Previously, he has served as Joint Secretary, Economic Advisory to PM, Niti Aayog. He has also given his services in President’s Secretariat.
Election Commission has formally communicated its decision to the Chief Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh government. The letter conveyed the Commission’s approval of Sain’s appointment and requested the state government to officially publish the notification in the Arunachal Pradesh State Gazette.
